Duties

  • Identify the actual training needs of faculty members on which the effectiveness of evaluation processes depends.
  • Providing adequate training for faculty members from lectures and workshops to enable them to measure and evaluate students' performance in accordance with the requirements of the Education Evaluation Commission - Higher Education Sector.
  • Continuous communication with the Deanship of University Development and the corresponding training bodies to make the most of the human resources available at the university.
  • Setting general controls for the evaluation process.
  • Review the evaluation plan for program courses and ensure their consistency with learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
  • Review the question papers according to the test paper review form.
  • Supervising vocabulary banks and developing a mechanism to benefit from the statistical analysis of test vocabulary.
  • Ensure that faculty members use matrices and corresponding means such as verbal grading scales.
  • Provide technical reports on tests and clarify strengths, weaknesses and distinctive practices.
  • Develop mechanisms and plans to measure the effectiveness of the systems used in evaluating students and tests.
  • Disseminate academic practices and methods used in the processes of verifying the efficiency of the evaluation process.
  • Monitoring all activities and preparing them as supporting guides in the self-study procedures of academic departments.
  • Prepare an annual report on the work of the unit.
