AdmissionFirst: Admission to the College of Arts General Requirements The applicant must pass all the first year (College of Arts Track) courses. The applicant must obtain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3 out of 5. Second: Controls of specialization in the College of Arts: Admission is by differentiation based on grade point average and the availability of seats. English Language Department requirements: (Earning C rating and above in English Language Course 1 and English language Course 2) Year descriptionFirst year During this first year the students will study a broad range of subjects that will introduce them to various disciplines in the realm of the arts and humanities. This exposure will help them make an informed decision on what academic path they wish to pursue in the following years. They will earn 36 credit hours during this first year. Second Year In the second year the students begin to study specialized courses in the field of geography such as: the principles of physical geography, economic geography, climatology, geomorphology as well as elements of cartography. Third year The third year curriculum includes: biogeography and soil, the geography of natural disasters, marine geography as well as urban geography. Forth Year In the fourth year the courses will focus on the following subjects: the geography of populations, contemporary geographical issues, environmental geography and political geography. The students must also prepare their graduation project.
