Course Main Objective
Clarify and define the concept of geography of planning and development and its fields, types and the most important positive and negative factors which affect the process of planning and how far it is sustainable along with a focus on studying the different types of population, urban, agricultural and industrial planning and further knowing how to prepare the sustainable plans in KSA.

Course Content:
- The concept of planning and its properties; the importance and goals of planning; the concept of regional planning and its characteristics and goals; aims of the regional economic and social development; how to develop the regional plan for development and assessment of the regional development plans.
- Natural basics of regional planning: site, geological composition, surface forms, climate, vegetation cover, human basics for regional planning, population and transport.
- Types of regional planning, population and urban planning along with applied models for regional planning in KSA.
- Types of regional planning, agricultural, mineral and industrial planning along with applied models for agricultural planning in KSA.
