The Technical Supplies Unit was established at the College of Science for Girls in Dammam to contribute to the support and development of the research and administrative process and technical supplies for all employees of the college while providing technical support and high-quality services that meet their needs through the latest means and supplies.

Creating an ideal work environment to keep pace with electronic transformations to embody the vision of the Deanship of Communications and Information Technology in transforming the university into an electronic university.

Mission

Supporting the development of the research and administrative process and technical equipment to keep pace with the electronic transformation of the faculty of science employees, through the presence of the latest means and equipment, and providing support and technical services of high quality.

Tasks

  1. Periodic inspection of the educational halls to ensure the readiness of the halls at the beginning of each semester.
  2. Providing the necessary technical support for television networks, plasma screens, screens, projectors, and electronic platforms in all classrooms in the College of Science for 91 classrooms, multi-use halls, and meeting room in the Dean’s office of the College of Science
  3. Follow-up on maintenance and lifting of faults for all educational devices in all halls of the College of Science with the supplies management and supplying companies.
  4. Preparing periodic reports for the maintenance and installation of all educational devices in the classrooms at the end of each semester.
  5. Preparing an inventory of all educational devices at the end of the academic year for each building in the college.
  6. Follow up the demand, supply, and installation of all educational devices in the College of Science by reporting the need, following up the supply according to the specifications, and installing and operating them in the specified place.
  7. Follow up the transportation of educational devices in the College of Science from one hall to another as needed, and ensure installation and operation after transfer.
  8. Supervising the female technicians of educational devices, directing the daily work, and submitting monthly reports to follow up on attendance, leave, vacations, and follow-up with the Supplies Department.
  9. Following up reservations, operating orders, user needs, and technical supplies, and providing them for team discussions, forums, meetings, and courses in all multi-use halls, and coordinating with the men's network.
  10. A request to provide a sum of money from the Financial Department to provide the consumable supplies for the technical staff, such as wires, batteries, chip stirrers, plugs, connections, connections to devices, and others.
  11. Download programs for operating educational devices for faculty members.
  12. Preparing manuals for different educational devices such as Epson projectors and voting devices.
  13. Coordination with the supplier company to conduct training courses on modern educational equipment for faculty members, meeting rooms, and multi-use rooms in the College of Science.
  14. Studying the needs of the college employees of network phones and redistributing them to the employees of the College of Science among the members of the educational and administrative staff.
  15. Studying the needs of the college's employees of computers (desktop and laptop), scanners, and network printers, and redistributing them to the employees of the College of Science from the educational, administrative, and technical staff.
  16. Preparing an inventory of desktop and laptop computers, scanners, printers, and network phones.
  17. Receiving computers (desktops - laptops), printers, and scanners from the Warehouse Department, and reformatting the computers and handing them over to the employees of the College of Science from the educational, administrative, and technical staff.
  18. Preparing an inventory to report the returns of the College of Science and deliver it to the university's warehouses.
  19. Circulars to the e-mail of the educational, administrative, technical, and female students.
  20. Updating the contacts of the circular list for the educational, administrative, and technical staff and female students by uploading them to Sand System.
  21. Supervising workshops to raise awareness of the electronic services provided by the Deanship of Communications and Information Technology at the university to the faculty members.
  22. Activating the text messaging service for college employees.
  23. Broadcasting all advertisements for the college offices, student activities, centers, and units on the college advertisement screens.
  24. Continuous updating of the content of the Technical Supplies Unit website and the addition of updates in both Arabic and English.
