The duties of the College Vice Dean for Academic Affairs:
- Carrying out the work of the College Council Secretariat.
- Supervising the implementation of the regulations and executive rules of the study and examination regulations for the undergraduate stage and all matters related to academic affairs.
- Supervising the preparation of study schedules for students in a way that achieves their interests, and their graduation as expected.
- Supervising the distribution of students in the programs of the academic departments in coordination with the college departments and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
- Supervising the progress of evaluation and examination processes and forming their committees, in coordination with the academic departments and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
- Supervising the progress of final examinations and forming their committees, in coordination with the academic departments and the Deanship of Admission and Registration.
- Supervising the implementation of admission and transfer controls to and from the college and between academic department.
- Supervising requests for postponement and apology for study, as well as the processes of deletion and addition for students, deprivation lists and graduate lists, in accordance with the regulations and decisions issued in this regard.
- Supervising the implementation of visit controls to and from outside the college and what is required in terms of equivalence of academic courses and updating the academic record of college students after the visit.
- Supervising the orientation week activities for new students to introduce the college and its academic programs.
- Guiding and counseling students and resolving issues related to academic achievement and coordinating with the University Counseling Center.
- Verifying the lists of graduates and those expected to graduate.
- Supervising alternative assessment strategies and tools to evaluate students’ skills other than tests and applying the evidence of the University Agency for Academic Affairs in this regard.
- Supervising the development, updating and creation of academic programs to be in line with national strategies and labor market requirements according to the evidence of the University Agency for Academic Affairs in this regard.
- Verifying the provision of an appropriate educational environment that includes the efficiency of educational facilities, laboratories and laboratories, the availability of study references and learning resources, and everything required by academic programs to ensure better performance.
- Following up on the achievement of learning outcomes for academic programs and preparing related reports and necessary improvement plans.
- Supervising the implementation of the field training course for students in different work. environments that are compatible with the nature of the programs and achieve their objectives.
- Supervising the plan to measure learning outcomes for academic departments and verifying the diversity of assessment and measurement methods and tasks.
- Following up on the achievement of the strategic plan of the college/university in relation to the objectives of education and learning and achieving the performance indicators associated with them.
- Supervising the work of the Student Affairs Committee, the Student Extracurricular Activities Committees and the proposed college agency units.
- Establishing a database for various training entities in cooperation with academic departments and updating it continuously and preparing the final annual report on field training including the evaluation of training entities and recommendations and submitting it to the College Council.
- Encouraging and following up on field training programs for students.
- Preparing reports on the teaching load in the semester for faculty members and those in their position, and determining the annual need based on that.
- Supervising the use of technologies, e-learning, educational media and distance education in teaching and learning within the college.
- Preparing a comprehensive report on monitoring academic performance in the college and submitting it to the College Council.
- Localizing all quality practices to ensure the best performance, related to academic accreditation standards for teaching and learning.
- Raising the efficiency of faculty members and those in their position and developing their professional skills continuously and developing a plan for workshops and training programs in coordination with the Deanship of University Education Development.

- Following up on the work and general coordination with the relevant units, departments and agencies of the College.
- Following up on updating the College website regarding the agencies and administrative units affiliated with it.
Vice Deanship of Academic Affairs units
Admissions and Registration Unit
This unit is to help university students to do registration of courses, to resolve any issues related to students’ enrollment, to follow up on requests for postponement, apology, re-registration, change of specialization and equivalency.
Schedules and Examinations Unit
- Schedules
This unit is responsible to prepare the schedules for all departments in the college, set the courses for each semester, and to upload it on the students’ information system.
- Exams
This unit manages, organizes, and follows up quality evaluation of students’ performance in the colleges’ departments as well as supervising exams to ensure validity and integrity.
Academic Program Development Unit
This unit aims at developing degree requirements for academic programs and performing periodic updates to keep up with scientific developments and labor market demands.
Academic Counselling Unit
This unit focuses on forming a good relationship between the students and faculty members through guidance programs. Most of the higher education foundations depend on the experiences of the teaching staff in guiding students through their academic needs. They guide students in choosing their specializations, Also, support them with suggestions and advice, which help students improve their learning achievements, overcoming their academic problems, knowing their potentials, developing the special abilities of every one of them and benefitting from the experiences and the available services at the University.
Students’ Affairs Unit
- Activity Committee
The college provides students with a weekly activity on Tuesdays from 10 to 12 and there are no lectures scheduled during this time of the day.
- Challenge Program
The concept of this program is based on having teams who compete throughout the semester during the activity period and the winning team receives rewards around 5000 SAR at the end of the term and various weekly prizes.
- Educational Club
The college is the headquarters of the students’ club at the university. It includes a group of students who are interested in education and it organizes lectures and events specialized in this area.
- Lectures and Seminars
The college holds many lectures and courses aimed at raising the student’s culture and personal skills which are announced at the beginning of each semester.
- Sports Activities
The Activity Unit holds many sport activities such as football and volleyball during the activity period or in the evenings.
- Students’ Excuses Committee
This committee is concerned with assessing students’ excuses by either accepting or rejecting them. It also announces a clear policy about the absence of students and the mechanism for giving their excuses in detail. The committee will review the list of students’ excuses and improve them when needed.
E-Learning Unit
The unit implements strategies that helps faculty members and students in the use of the E-learning and educational technology on the internet. Additionally, it develops and delivers E-learning courses to ensure that all courses and programs run successfully.
Test Quality Assessment Unit
The unit helps to enhance the level of tests and assessment in the college and coordinates with the center of quality assessment and tests in order to implement the University policies in this area.
