I warmly welcome you to the College of Education’s website, which aims to introduce you to the college’s vision, mission, objectives, programs, news, and activities—whether educational, scientific, social, cultural, or research-related. Additionally, the website serves as a platform for ongoing, effective communication with the college.

The College of Education is one of the oldest colleges at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, having been established in the academic year 1396/1397 AH. It comprises the following academic departments: Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Foundations, Psychology, Early Childhood, Special Education, Educational Administration, and Educational Technology. At the undergraduate level, the college offers a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Kindergarten Education. At the graduate level, the college offers the following programs: a Master’s in Educational  Administration and Leadership, a Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching Methods, a Master’s in School Counselling, and a Master’s in Special Education. 

In alignment with the vision, mission, and objectives of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, the college aspires to become a leading institution in the preparation and training of teachers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, distinguished by the excellence of its programs. The college is committed to its mission of preparing educational professionals who contribute to building a knowledge-based society capable of global competitiveness. This is achieved by advancing the college’s programs, improving its various units, creating an effective educational and scientific environment, and developing the capabilities necessary to prepare these professionals. The college strives to establish a highly effective academic community that responds to the diverse needs of society, addresses the challenges of the educational field, and tackles the issues of sustainable development. This is done by offering educational development initiatives and optimizing the use of knowledge, research, and technology in light of societal values and needs, all in accordance with quality and academic accreditation standards. The college aims to achieve the following objectives: to provide excellent education that contributes to the preparation and training of qualified professionals for teaching roles at all stages of general education, as well as to serve in special education across various fields; to develop educational research and graduate studies in psychological and educational areas to improve the quality of educational outcomes; to foster real partnerships with the Saudi community through community engagements, lectures, workshops, seminars, and conferences related to the educational process; and to continuously improve academic, administrative, and educational structures to contribute to building an integrated educational environment that promotes creativity, excellence, and positive interaction within and beyond the college..

Since its establishment, the college has proudly graduated numerous teachers who have contributed—and continue to contribute—with pride and honour to the development and advancement of our beloved nation. These educators play a critical role in shaping the next generation, preparing them to become upstanding citizens devoted to their religion, their country, and their leaders, while keeping pace with scientific advancements and their applications. They are well-prepared to contribute to the progress and welfare of the nation. 

In conclusion, the College of Education, as part of the university’s broader system of colleges, will continue its diligent efforts, with God’s will, to achieve its vision, mission, and objectives. It will strive to elevate the quality of its processes, programs, methods, and outcomes through ongoing review and continuous development.
