The Department of Pharmacy provides medication therapy patient care services for patients of all age groups and levels of acuity within KFHU. All services are conducted in accordance with accepted ethical and professional standards of practice and meet all legal requirements.
As part of daily activities, pharmacists routinely assess pertinent patient information, such as demographic data, vital signs, laboratory values, medication regimens, medication compliance; furthermore Pharmacists collaborate with all members of the healthcare team, patients, and their caregivers to provide value-based, patient-centered care. Pharmacy technicians, pharmacist assistants, and pharmacy students assist in the delivery of pharmaceutical care under the direct supervision of Clinical pharmacist.
Standards of practice established by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, American college for clinical pharmacy, Institute of medication safety, Joint Commission international , Saudi Food and drug administration, the United States Pharmacopeia, and the Food and Drug Administration serve as a guide for establishing pharmacy services.

- Clinical Pharmacy Services: 8 am- 4 pm and on-call 24hrs

Emergency Pharmacy: 24 hours a day,
Inpatient Areas: 24 hours a day,
Clinic and Ambulatory Practice Areas: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
