Overview

The Department of Early Education is an essential for the society. It was opened in the academic year 1424 AH offering a bachelor’s degree in Kindergarten Education, to qualify students aiming to be teachers, educators, working in areas related to raising children.

The Department seeks to prepare specialized teachers in the field of early childhood, in accordance with the best educational practices and field experiences. It aims at the achievement of various skills, while creating training opportunities for students through strategic partnerships with community institutions interested in early childhood, supporting students who are struggling academically, enriching gifted students, and conducting distinguished research in the field of specialization.

The Department pursues many high-quality academic practices, represented by diversifying the use of educational strategies and modern assessment methods with the aim of expanding the horizons of knowledge and achieving fun, entertainment and learning at the same time, and employing technology to keep pace with the era of technological development. It also aspires to raise the level of students with keeping pace with modern developments in order to achieve the 2030 Vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mission

Providing distinguished, high-quality education in the field of early childhood and conducting distinguished quality research that serves the community by creating a stimulating educational environment of sustainable quality that ensures the qualification of the graduate for the labor market in accordance with the Islamic value system.

Objectives 

• Providing advanced cognitive, applied, and professional educational experiences in childhood that meet the innovations of knowledge.

• Providing an encouraging and motivating environment for the department faculty to enable them to continuously develop and grow.

• Providing an attractive environment for students that meets their cognitive and skill needs and supports participation and social responsibility.

• Encouraging research partnerships in the field of childhood.

• Developing practices and procedures in accordance with labor market requirements and the quality and academic accreditation
