Brief description of the lab

The skills lab designed to provide the students with the basic RC skills and practice different respiratory procedures. In addition, apply different case scenarios.

What students can acquire from lab classes:

  •  Several hand skills.
  • Handling different RC equipment and machines.

The most important equipment of the lab

Oxygen devices, nebulizers, bronchial hygiene therapy modalities, lung expansion devices, airway management equipment, blood gases equipment, blood gases analyzers and related pulmonary rehabilitation equipment.

Respiratory care simulation Lab

Brief description of the lab

Simulation Lab with advanced devices for different courses; PFT, Sleep, Neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, and management of mechanical ventilation.
The simulation lab designed to provide extensive learning experiences for students, which consist of realistic looking clinical rooms, manikins, equipment and advanced devices. It allows students to practice and develop clinical expertise without any risk of patient harm.

What students can acquire from lab classes:

Learning the basics in how they setup and power on the devices and solve different troubleshooting.
Students also apply their theoretical knowledge on hands-on scenarios that mimic various clinical situations inside this simulation laboratory.

The most important equipment of the lab:

  •  Transport incubators that are like the incubators used in NICU.
  •  Different mechanical ventilators, old till the newest and advanced versions.
  • Advance Full PFT system
  • Sleep study room facilitated with the full polysomnography system.
  • Crash cart and intubation trolley.
  •  ICU beds and manikins
