Teaching and Learning Exhibition (TLEX)
The TLEX exhibition is the largest of its kind, with the participation of 40-60 faculty members, where the participants presented research posters in teaching and learning illustrating their successful practices in university education from their real experiences in the classroom, highlighting the outcomes of these practices, their impact and opportunities for improvement. The exhibition was held over 1-3 days. The exhibition was inaugurated by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Rubaish, in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, the Vice president, and a number deans, vice-deans, heads of academic departments, and a large number of visitors from inside the university and the Eastern Province community.
The exhibition featured interactive technology for each research poster, so that the visitor could interact with the poster through QR CODE. The exhibition also included visual content that displays a series of interviews with academic leaders entitled "Visions in Higher Education". The exhibition was covered in the media in local newspapers and on social media. The #TLEX20 #TLEX21 #TLEX22 #TLEX23 hashtag was activated to follow the interactions of the beneficiaries of the exhibition.
The exhibition attracted a large number of interested people including:
- IAU Faculty members.
- Colleges' deans.
- Heads of academic departments.
- Coordinators of faculty development programs.
- IAU students.
- Affiliates from a number of universities in the Eastern Province.
- International experts.
- Teachers from private and government schools.
