Student Council
The student council consists of members elected by the college’s student body. The council’s goal is described in the student council guide, which complies with the university and higher education rules and regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The student councils provide students with the opportunity to develop their leadership and communication skills by organizing activities and projects to serve the educational process. Student council members represent students’ voices and meet with the university administration to present students’ ideas, interests, and suggestions.
Student Council Goals
- Creating a link between students and the college and university administrations, to present opinions and proposals to serve the educational process.
- Enhancing cooperation between students, administration, and faculty members.
- Developing students' capabilities and encouraging them to actively participate in serving local community issues.
- Develop students' leadership and communication skills, to build a student community that can compete globally.
- Discovering students' capabilities and talents and guiding them in the appropriate direction.
- Participate in organizing individual and group student activities
- Educating students about their rights and duties
- Increase students' loyalty to their country, university, and college.
Membership Terms
All students at the concerned college, who have not been subject to disciplinary sanctions, are entitled to run for membership in the college’s student council according to the following conditions:
1. The student must be a regular student at the university.
2. The student’s remaining semesters shall not be less than two semesters.
3. The student’s cumulative GPA should not be less than (3) out of (5).
Formation of the Student Council at the College of Dentistry:
The Student Council is formed by eight members, the members will vote for the following roles:
1. President of the Student Council
2. Vice President of the Student Council
3. Student Council Secretary
4. Student Activities Coordinator
5. Media Officer
