The Saudi Vision 2030 encompasses various programs working cohesively to achieve its overarching goals. The planning and execution of these programs and projects entail a high degree of diversity in associated risks, demanding a sophisticated risk management and resilience ecosystem. This ecosystem plays a pivotal role in enhancing government performance, mitigating risks, enhancing crisis preparedness, improving critical response, and ensuring overall resilience.
Hence, the preparation of a skilled workforce capable of managing risks is imperative, facilitating the empowerment of national talents to undertake these essential tasks. Notably, the outcomes of Risk Management qualifications directly contribute to several of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs. These include the Human Capability Development Program, the Financial Sector Development Plan, and the Health Sector Development Plan.
In particular, the proposed bachelor's degree program in Risk Management aligns with three of the Human Capability Development Program's objectives, namely Objective 12: Cultivating expertise in priority sectors, Objective 13: Ensuring educational outputs match labor market needs, and Objective 15: Enhancing youth readiness for the job market.
