TabsOverviewThe PhD Program in Islamic Studies began in the 984-1985 CE/1404-1405 AH academic year. The Department of Islamic Studies has been awarding PhD’s to women who have later gone on to conduct research as well as teach at UoD. Graduation Requirements 20 study units + 12 Thesis Admission Obtaining a master's degree in Islamic studies from a recognized university, from the Ministry of Education, with a grade point average of no less than very good. The applicant obtained a minimum score of (70)% in the aptitude test for undergraduates. Memorizing five parts of the Holy Quran. Pay the application fee (non-refundable). Passing the admission test and personal interview. Payment of tuition fees. Study planThe study plan shall consist of six semester , two of which for studying of courses and four semesters for preparation of the thesis ,the study plan depends on study of the prescribed courses and preparation of the thesis and the student shall not register his thesis unless after passing the examination of all courses with a minimum very good grade.
