Student Support System stems from the Student Support Initiative, which aims to support students in the areas of academic advising, psychological and social counseling, as well as tutoring classes and student activities. It is an electronic system available at the university website via the electronic services portal.

The system also provides a wide range of services for students such as grievance requests, complaints, suggestions, regulations and manuals, news, articles, advertisements, alerts, and contact information of the administrative and service offices in the college. It also allows the evaluation of system services.

The system also provides authorized members a range of services such as scheduling training courses, workshops, events, activities, programs, and meetings. The system also allows viewing and printing reports of training courses, student activities and events, tutoring, peer tutoring, competitions, requests, complaints, numerical and graphical statistics, as well as evaluation surveys of system services and assessment of performance indicators.

  • To facilitate the process of requesting support for students via a unified system on the university's website
  • To support the quality of educational process, improve the students’ cumulative GPA, and reduce academic failing rates.
  • To encourage students’ participation in student activities and tutoring classes.

  • Automation of academic advising procedures through the Students Information System:
    • Identify and follow-up at-risk students who are about to fail through the Students Information System according to the following performance criteria:
      1. Semester / Cumulative GPA
      2. Attendance rates
      3. Assignments and gradebook
    • Availability of contact information for the academic advisor, student counselor, and academic advising hours
    • Reviewing requests for academic advising in order to view, follow-up and redirect such requests
    • Creating and directing individual academic advising requests by the advisor and student and vice versa
    • Obtaining reports of advising requests according to standard and status.
