It represents the Directorates vision for creating academic programs, reviewing existing ones and expanding or reducing students’ enrollment.

Unit Tasks

  1. Studying the best local and international practices in aligning programs with the needs of the labor market.
  2. Identifying and studying the most important data sources related to the alignment of academic programs with the labor market.
  3. Analyzing data related to Development and the labor market needs.
  4. Forecasting the future of academic programs enrollment based on supply and demand.
  5. Providing data that supports decision-making regarding the creation, closure or development of academic programs.
  6. Preparing training packages to guide academic programs alignment with the requirements of the labor market

  • Preparing training packages to align academic programs with the requirements of the labor market.
  • Coordinating meetings between representatives from IAU colleges and selected sectors of the labor market; regarding academic programs review and creation, or training and qualifying competencies, and improving learning outcomes. The most prominent of these sectors are the following:
    • Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority
    • Ministry of Communications and Information Technology
    • Real Estate General Authority / Wafi – Off-plan sales and rent Program
    • The Financial Academy
    • The Society for the Protection of Individuals Investors
    • Participation in hosting a symposium entitled "Islamic Studies Programs in University Education and Labor Market Challenges".
