Computer Laboratories and E-Learning Facilities
Computer laboratories provide a variety of opportunities to help students acquire the basic IT skills that are tailored to their own educational and future professional needs. Computer laboratories are located in both the male and female sections of the College with more than 100 computers available within the College’s premises and are separate from the computer terminals available at the Central Library. These computer laboratories can be used for practical teaching related to Health Informatics, as well as other IT-related teaching, such as running applications required for the Hospital’s Patient Electronic Information System. The computers are also used to deliver web-based exams and practical sessions related to statistical research applications, such as SPSS. Students can use these terminals to access their Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), such as Blackboard and enhance their learning experience.
