Course Description
Since the Architectural building is the shell that contains the interior space it is important for interior design students to develop an awareness of formal, current and novel building construction types. And its development over time starting with Bearing walls structural systems, Skeleton system, Truss and Frame Space structure, Tensile, Cable, membrane and Pneumatic structures. As well as acquire an understanding of the materials used in the application of each building construction system, to enable students provide competent interior intervention in accordance to the occurring problems within the design context. The course will develop an awareness of different special construction types including Stairs, Kitchen, and Bathroom systems, their application and different ways of drawings in different construction.
