Course Main Objective
This course aims to introduce students to the archival science and its main topics and the importance of archiving document as an information resource and the document-related technical processes and how to differentiate between it and the other information resources.

- 1.1 Explain the general concepts of the Archival Science, the archiving institutions, documents and archive in modern age.

- 2.1 Differentiate among different types of archives and how to manage the current documents and methods of document organization, keeping and exclusion.

- 3.1 Bear responsibility of self-learning and continue personal and professional development.

- History of the archive.
- Documents and archive in the modern age.
- Management of current documents.
- The technical processes in field of documents and archive: sorting and exclusion, storage and keeping, acquisitions development, classification, cataloguing, indexing.
- Documents and archive in the electronic environment
- Open access resources in field of the electronic documents.
