Course Main Objective
The main objective of course is to:
Define the general concepts of Geographic Information Systems, their basics and historical development; identify types of spatial and descriptive data within Geographic Information Systems "GIS"; design geographic databases and how to produce and read information data; explain and analyze spatial and descriptive data through GIS programs.

- 1.1 Review the concepts of GIS and the different fields of its applications within the geographic studies.

- 2.1 Differentiate among the different types of maps and methods to prepare and implement them.
- 2.2 Differentiate among the computer-assisted GIS programs and design programs.
- 2.3 Use GIS programs to implement some functions of spatial and descriptive analysis.

- 3.1 Appreciate teamwork and cooperate with her colleagues in performing collective assignments.
