Course description
This is a basic course on electrical/electronic technology in the context of Product Design applications. This will include an in-depth appreciation, study and description of the functions of electrical and electronic components (such as circuits, switchboards, etc.) that are commonly embedded in technical and consumer products. The course will provide the students with basic theory about electric/electronic design and applications, developing the necessary knowledge for the successful execution of Product Design projects incorporating such technologies. A practical project which incorporates basic electric/electronic components can be developed, to apply some of the skills learned.
