Course Description
This course explores and applies methodologies related to two-dimensional design sketching and rendering in order to communicate the function, form, finish, color and material of an artefact through the use of 2D software. This will include knowledge, methods and skills required to create digital sketches of design solutions in both orthographic and perspective views and/or importing and manipulating similar hand generated sketches. Students will produce digital renders of sketches that accurately communicate the finish, material and contour of a surface through the use of line work, color, shading, reflections, refractions, texture and highlights.
