Course Description
This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of color and acquire fundamental illustration skills in the creation of visual artwork and design. Students will explore a variety of techniques while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will use their knowledge of drawing, design, and style to communicate ideas graphically. The course will give them a hands-on experience of color as they create, modify and compare hues, values, and strengths. It is the study of drawing in various contemporary media emphasizing creative interpretation, the memory of observation, and disciplined craftsmanship.
