Course Description
The course enables 6th level medical students to acquire clinical and theoretical experience in general pediatrics with a special emphasis on common pediatric disorders and problems of regional health importance.
On successful completion of the course, the students should be able to:
- Demonstrate skills in pediatric history taking.
- Perform a thorough physical examination.
- Integrate history, clinical and laboratory findings.
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and appropriate care for infants and children.
- Undertake the necessary measures for prevention of pediatric disease in the community.
