Course Description
Content:
The practical application of some common chemical reactions used in the preparation of organic compounds and methods of purification - the application of the principles and rules of chemical calculations to calculate the outcome of the theory and the percentage of chemical reactions - the use of yield physical and spectroscopic chemical methods and analysis of the prepared organic compounds - preparation of some organic dyes such as azo dyes - extraction and separation of some natural products and synthesis of some polymers.

Objectives:
- Describe the modern laboratory techniques
- Synthesize of organic compounds.
- Interpret the synthetic path way for the synthesis of organic compounds.
- Characterize the organic compound by interpretation of the spectral.
- Analysis of the results and display labe reports for each experiment.
Outcomes:
At the end of this course, the student will be able to:
- Describe the basic techniques of organic reactions.
- Identify the steps of various organic reactions.
- Distinguish the limiting reactant and perform the basic calculations.
- Investigate the solubility of any organic compound and suggest methods for separation and purification.
- Attend the required experiments accurately.
- Write lab reports clearly and accurately.
