Course Description
This course describes the definition of biomimicry, the principles of biomimicry, issues, utilisation of an integrated design process, designing to model nature, sustainability issues, examples from nature to solve problems, and biomimicry with relation to food systems challenges. Applications and innovations in biomimicry are also examined.
Course Objectives & Outcomes
The objective and outcome of this course is to inspire students to appreciate the contribution of nature to our lives, and encourage innovation by mimicking nature.
