Course Description
This general English course gives students the opportunity to improve their English by focusing on the four basic language skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening. In addition to grammar and vocabulary. Further, it stresses the importance of English as a medium of international communication. The course enables students to use new vocabulary in different contexts and to express their opinions on a variety of topics.
Course Aims
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Handle English used in everyday communication.
- Develop a natural and accurate style of English pronunciation.
- Use vocabulary and expressions common in everyday life.
- Express ideas clearly and confidently in both written and spoken English.
Course Contents:
The course topics are fulfilled by covering all lessons in Touch Stone 2&3 Series, in addition to, a Business English handout.
“Touch stone series” introduces students to college level vocabulary and grammar, whereas the business hand out is relating
English to all different majors in college
