Course Description
The influence of constituent materials (cements, water, aggregates and admixtures) on the properties of fresh and hardened concrete, concrete mix design, handling and placement of concrete and the behavior of concrete under various types of loading and environments, as well as concrete material specifications and inspections. Laboratory exercises, which utilize sieve analysis tests for aggregates and standard concrete test methods are integral parts of the course.
