Abdulrahman Adel Shabaan Al Haj from the College of Architecture and Planning won first place in the 6th Annual Race which was held on Sunday, February 14, 2016 in the University City in UoD. This Race was organized by the Deanship of Preparatory and Supporting Studies in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs. The second prize went to Awath Mohamed Ahmed Al Amari from the College of Applied Medical Sciences and third place went to Mohamed Salim Nasser Jamaan from the College of Computer Science and Information Technology. The Race was sponsored by the President of the University of Dammam Dr. Abdullah Al Rubaish and was attended on his behalf by Dr. Gazi Al Otaibi, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz Fahad Al Fehaid, Dean of the Preparatory Year and Supporting Studies and Dr. Ali Tared Aldossari, Dean of Student Affairs.
Dr. Abdulaziz Fahad Al Fehaid mentioned that “the University has made it a habit to have a race every year in order to transform the mental state and to energize the athletic aspect of the participants either they be students, staff or faculty members. The goal of this festival is to assemble a distinctive athletic activity which will flourish the general health and will encourage it participants to do more. 700 runners participated in the race, 665 of them were students, 27 were faculty members and 8 were staff members.
