UoD wins the Ministry of Higher Education's "Dafe'e" or "Preparedness" Initiative
UoD was recently awarded the "Dafe'e" or "Preparedness" initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education for the 2014-15 academic year. The intent of this disaster preparedness initiative is to make sure that the local community is trained and prepared in the event of a natural disaster or an emergency situation. On Sunday, September 8th, the Deanship of Community Service and Sustainable Development lead a meeting of the Scientific Committe along with representatives from King Fahd University Hospital, the Civil Defense forces of the Kingdom, the Saudi Red Crescent Society, Saudi Aramco and UoD's Public Relations and Communication and Information Technology Offices to discuss and plan the implemention of a disaster preparedness program.
