Under the kind auspices of Dr. Amira Ahmad Al-Ja’fari, Dean of College of Arts in Dammam and supervised by Dr. Badriya Muhammad Habeeb, Head of the Department of Geography & GIS, prepared and coordinated by the Sustainable Development Club represented by Lolowa Al-Khaldi, Manal Al-Daiel and Kafa’a Al-Tommy. The Exhibition was inaugurated on Tuesday 26/7/1437H and attended by the Deputy-Deans of the College, Heads of departments, faculty members, staff and students from the College of Arts and the College of Science; the exhibition was honored by a visit from Dr. Abdullah Hussein Al Kadi, the University’s Vice-President for Studies, Development & Community Service. Within the walls of the exhibition 26 geographic research posters were displayed the posters included faculty members’ researches, post-graduate students’ researches and graduate students’ researches.
The exhibition aimed at enhancing creative and research thinking capabilities and to use modern technology and make use of the current information revolution in order to make researches equipped to serve community issues and problems as well as to encourage research competitions within the educational environment. Finally, the exhibition was highly appreciated and praised by its visitors and it is intended to be held annually, God willing with participation from all the departments in the College.
