The Communication and Information Technology Department’s Virtual Voyage event was held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 CE/Safar 5, 1437 AH and was attended by the Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Amirah Ahmed Al-Jafary, the Department’s head, Dr. Basma Al Ghanim, along with the vice deans, faculty, staff and students from the College.  Dr. Um Hani Abo Sabah supervised this event, which presented an introduction to new media and multimedia concepts across six different countries, including:  Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, United States, India and Egypt.  This event fulfilled the Department of Communication and Information Technology’s third strategic goal in its executive plan: to raise the competencies of their students through academic service, encouraging student activities and training students on effectively linking the curriculum to an activity. The students created and developed examples, images and videos that supported and fulfilled the goals of this event. Virtual Voyage was well received by the attendees, visitors and students alike. Jawaher Al Ghazi and Abrar Al Ammar were instrumental in the preparation of this event.
