Under the auspices and in presence of H.E President of Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University Prof. Dr. Abdulla Bin Muhammad Al-Rubaish, Vice-Presidency for Academic Affairs has held (Student Councils meeting) to announce formation of the Supreme Student Council for the academic year 1444H and to honor all members of the student councils for the academic year 1443H in presence of HE Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr.Ghazi Bin Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi and deans of the colleges and the supportive deanships.
The said meeting came to highlight the goals of student councils among of which is to create a connecting link between students and both administrations of the college and the university in order to serve the educational process; to review the most important achievements of the supreme student council for the previous academic year whose male and female beneficiaries amounted to more than 3100. Besides, statistics of student activities in the university colleges for the academic year 1443H have been displayed as No. of beneficiaries from the male section activities and programs amounted to 19878 while in the female section stood above 9680.
HE the advisor of Vice-President for Academic Affairs and dean of College of Arts Dr.Meshaiel Bint Ali Al-Okly has stated formation of the student councils for the academic year 1444H indicating the roadmap which started with a feedback survey of members of the student councils for the year 1443H, a survey of the university students’ satisfaction with performance of the councils at colleges. This has been followed by formation of the overseeing committee along with educating students via digital platforms, launching the unified registration and then sorting and announcing the nominees whose number amounted to 462 out of 614 till reaching stage of voting and polling which ends with formation of the supreme student council which has been adopted in the first meeting held on 12/3/1444H corresponding to 8/10/2022AD in presence of HE Vice-President for Academic Affairs Dr.Ghazi Bin Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, HE the advisor of Vice-President for Academic Affairs and dean of College of Arts Dr.Meshaiel Bint Ali Al-Okly and the supervisor of student councils Dr.Amani Al-Qorani.
