On Thursday 1st June 2023, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University celebrated the 70-year-old graduate, Salwa Abdulrahman Al-Omani during the 44th Graduation Ceremony, under the patronage and presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Abeer bint Faisal bin Turki Al-Saud, wife of His Royal Highness the governor of the Eastern Province.
The ceremony witnessed several inspiring stories of ambitious students presented by the Deanship of Admission and Registration, among which, was the story of Salwa, who followed her dream and applied to the IAU after passing the high school exams and the General Aptitude Test in a high percentage. When Salwa Al-Omani got admitted to the College of Arts, she spared no effort in achieving her dream throughout her four years of determination and perseverance, until she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Work in an excellent grade with honors.
Salwa stated that the secret behind achieving her dream of completing her educational journey is in believing in her goal and having persistence and a strong will. Finally, she expressed her gratitude to the university leadership, headed by His Excellency the University President, Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Rubaish and the faculty members, for all the support she received to qualify scientifically and professionally, which enabled her to overcome all the obstacles and hardships.
