The university will be hosting next Wednesday the 6th National Computing Colleges Conference (NCCC 2024) under the slogan (Promoting Cooperation Towards Innovative and Sustainable Technological Future).
Under the auspices of H.E. President of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU) Prof.Dr./ Abdulla bin Muhammad Al-Rubaish, IAU represented by the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, the university will be hosting next Wednesday the 6th National Computing Colleges Conference (NCCC 2024) under the slogan (Promoting Cooperation Towards Innovative and Sustainable Technological Future) associated with the (eighteenth) meeting of deans of the computing colleges at Saudi universities on IAU campus in Dammam city for two days from 29 Shawwal- 1 Dhul Qidah 1445H corresponding to 8-9 May 2024; an elite of specialists on level of world universities and the scientific centers will be participating in the conference distributed into 7 workshops, 4 dialogue sessions, 6 main sessions and 33 speakers. The conference will be associated with the entrepreneurship projects and innovation competition, the sixth national programming contest, the Capture the Flag (CTF) competition as well as the entrepreneurial innovative projects poster fair.
The 6th National Computing Colleges Conference aims to develop performance of the computing colleges at Saudi universities through exchange of ideas and common experiences in order to enhance the concept of the educational system; moreover, the conference reviews the successful practices in the academic, research and community issues, allows to propose ideas and contributions to provide a high-quality educational environment and open the door for partnership and cooperation in research, innovation and entrepreneurship and enhancing community services in conformity with the Vision 2030 through which the kingdom has set many important trends including the digitalization being one of the most important trends which will be highly effective for development in the country, Dr./ Abdulla bin Muhammad Al-Mehaideb- chief of the organizing committee of the conference and Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at IAU confirmed.
Dr./ Al-Mehaideb added that the conference brings together the Saudi universities-wise computing colleges where the number of participating colleges amounted to 36 colleges from various provinces in the kingdom. The conference will be discussing many themes, namely, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, the Internet of Things “IoT” and the blockchain as well as data science.
