The Department of Communication & Information Technology, represented by the Head of the department Dr. Bassma Fahd Al Ghanim and Dr. Halima Al Talib, Chairwoman of the Field Training Committee at the Department, has paid a visit to Dar Alyaum - Saudi Arabia daily - to discuss ways of optimizing a partnership between the University and the daily; Mr. Abdelwahab Al Fayez, Editor-in-Chief, has praised the efforts exerted by both the department and the College for training and applying theoretical information to practice through the field training and adopting a proper work environment.
Al Fayez has indicated that the daily will train the female students according to modern methods emerged from the revolution of communications and internet announcing that the excellent trainees will be appointed at the female section of the daily.
Dr. Al Ghanim has expressed her thanks to the Editor-in-Chief for his help, good reception and for accepting to train the daughters of our nation. The trainee students amount up to 45 who will be divided among three media agencies throughout the Eastern Province. Nevertheless, the department, despite its late establishment, seeks to provide the media sector in the labor market with excellent and highly qualified graduates which the University of Dammam will be proud to call their own.
