The Endocrinology Clinic at KFUH, a New Hope for Cancer Patients
The newly established Endocrinology Clinic at UOD's King Fahd University Hospital has recently completed their 60th successful surgery, 42% of which involved cases with cancer related issues.
Dr. Hassan Al Bisher, who performed these operations, stated recently that the Endocrinolgy Clinic opened less than a year ago at the end of 2013 and that the goal of the clinic was part of the University Hospital's and UOD's committement to improving the lives of those in the local community.
Dr. Al Bisher mentioned that the Clinic regulary sees between 15-20 patients a week as part of the patients' continued follow up care. He thanked God for the Clinic's recent milestone of successfully perfoming 60 rather uncommon and difficult endocrine gland surgeries where 42% of the cases involved some form of cancer.
