Conference Objectives

• Introduce the community to the value and importance of the Preparatory Year and its effects on higher education.
• Enrich the scientific aspects of the Preparatory Year programs.
• Review and assess the most important local and international experiences in Preparatory Year programs.
• Present the contributions of the private sector to the Preparatory Year programs and their direct and indirect effects in the development of education in Saudi Arabian universities.
• Present some of the ways various Preparatory Year programs have been organized and contrast that to their performance and quality standards.
• Present the challenges of self-operating Preparatory Year programs that exist in the Saudi Arabian higher education system.
• Unify courses in the various Preparatory Year programs within Saudi universities.
