The Ophthalmology Department in KFUH is organizing an awareness exhibition for the World Sight Day in cooperation with the National Prevention of Blindness Committee and the Saudi Ophthalmological Society.
Dr. Khalid Al Arfaj, Head of the Ophthalmology Department in KFUH and a member of the Saudi Board of Ophthalmology mentioned that “King Fahd University Hospital celebrates this event every year in order to commemorate with the World Sight Day. The event gives a chance to provide instructions and to aware people on the importance of taking care of their sight. The exhibition consists of many booths; the sight test booth, a booth to test for Cornea and Cataract diseases, a booth to measure eye pressure, to test for Glaucoma and Strabismus, and to test children’s eyes, as well as an eye first aid booth. Also, there will be a special booth for Dyslexia supervised by Dr. Zainab Al Khudari. The event is supervised by Dr. Wafa Al Blwi a Consultant in Ophthalmic Nerves and a representative of the Saudi Ophthalmological Society in the Eastern Province.
