Course Description
This course is the first course in a sequence of typography courses in the graphic design and multimedia program for both Arabic and Latin scripts. Students gain a familiarity with the history of type, type classifications, type anatomy and typographic terms, with emphasis on the structure. The course will include a broad variety of manual and hands-on exercises and projects that cover different kinds of the fundamentals of type to develop a solid foundation of typographic attributes and a critical attitude toward the organization and structure of text-based information
