Course Main Objective
This course aims to make students acquainted with basic concepts and theoretical aspects of the e-government and the e-governance and how to build its strategy. It further deals with how to link between theory and practice through studying a set of case studies thoroughly selected to encompass a wide range of experiences. It also aims to raise awareness about the importance of governance in achieving development and helping decision makers to crystalize a clear projection about the concept and importance of governance.

- Basic concepts about governance (state- government- individuals- civil society organizations “CSO”- local governance) and the e-government.
- Strategic planning of e-government and e-governance.
- Governance in the public sector and different methods of management.
- Elements of governance and quality of legislations (systems)
- Worldwide Governance Indicators (WGI).
- Governance, development and institutional and administrative reform.International practices in applying principles of governance
- Governance in the public sector: KSA’s experience.
- New trends in field of the e-governance.
