This course aims to provide students with an overview of risk management in a context of complex environments in construction engineering and management practice practices. It covers the background of risk management and its application in construction industry and modeling uncertainty. It introduces various methods and technologies for development of risk management plan, identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and control of negative and positive risks. The students are expected to apply their acquired knowledge in the course to develop a life-cycle risk management plan for a construction project.
