Course Description
This course designed to introduce the student to respiratory pharmacology. Basic concepts and terms of pharmacology will be introduced. Microkinetic agents, muscle relaxant, local anesthetic agents, and central depressant will be considered with respect to their applications in respiratory care. Emphasis will be placed on beta adrenergic agent which are widely used in respiratory medicine and have great potential for harm if used injudiciously.
