Course Description
The Research and Programming course plays an integral part in the final project program. The coursework will emphasize the identification and development of interior architectural ideas and concepts, which are to be researched, analyzed, programmed and documented in an effective and efficient professional report. Each student is required to choose an appropriate research project and present the justification of why this particular topic was selected and what its impact and importance are in the world in general and in Saudi Arabia in particular. Students are responsible for conducting independent research under the direction of a faculty advisor. During the semester students should turn in monthly submissions and present a full set of Auto CAD full drawings for research and provide digital format images as well. Students will present two case studies: one will be a published case study and the other will be a real case study of a similar project along with photographic documentation.
