Course Description
This course introduces print publication design in the form of magazines, books, and other multi-page documents. Students will utilize complex grid systems to organize editorial content and work with advanced typography, photographic imagery, and illustrations to activate the page space. The focus will be on creating continuity and variety across a range of pages, presenting different kinds of information in context-appropriate formats and continuity. An overview of classic multi-page layout problems will include annual reports, business documents, newspapers, and books.
