Course Description
This course is designed to provide students with basic statistics. The course is covering descriptive statistics with concepts of dispersion, central tendency measurements. Graphical and tabular displays are also covered. Simple linear regression and correlations are introduced. Understanding concept of index price number and analyzing the time series and their components are introduced.
Course Aims
At the end of this course, the students will be able to:
1. Understand the definition of statistics and its parts.
2. Identify the ways to collect data and present them graphically and numerically.
3. Understand the measure of central tendency and measures of dispersion.
4. Evaluate correlation and simple linear regression.
5. Interpret meaning of index price.
6. Understand meaning of time series and estimate their component.
7. Understand meaning of biostatistics.
