Course Discription
This course will cover the Basic properties of the atomic nucleus, nuclear models, and radioactivity (law of radioactive decay, average lifetime and half-life, natural radioactivity) radioactive equilibrium, and applications of radioactivity: interaction of radiation with matter and introduction to radiation detectors. Nuclear fission, nuclear fusion, nuclear reactor, accelerators, and introduction to elementary particles.
