The aim of this course is to provide students with a good working knowledge on the basic background relating to multimedia security technologies for multimedia content currently available in the digital arena. Students learn how to secure multimedia data by providing confidentiality, integrity, and identity or ownership. Main topics include: digital steganography and its counter-measure, steganalysis, watermarking and authentication, data encryption, network security and biometric identification.
