Course Description
The course includes cell structure and functions, mitosis and meiosis, chromosomes to DNA, intracellular communications and mechanisms of signal transduction, nucleotides and nucleic acids, DNA and its organization in the nucleus, information flow in the cell, DNA replication and its inhibitors, DNA repair mechanisms, eukaryotic and prokaryotic replication, gene expression and its control, transcription and its control, genetic code and mutations, protein synthesis and its inhibitors, recombinant DNA techniques and introduction to bioinformatics.
