Course Description
This course explores a range of materials used in manufacture (such as wood, glass, ceramics) with considerable attention given to new, emerging and advanced materials and manufacturing technologies (such as high performance composite materials). The research project runs in parallel with the lectures and tutorials, and provides the anchor and central thread for the lecture material. Tutorial time may be devoted to expansion of the lecture material or to development of the research process at the discretion of the course convener.
