Course Description
This course comprises an introduction to Industrial Engineering activities and techniques relevant to different modes of production. These include pre– and post–design process activities such as project planning and control methods, pilot and production tryout studies, plant layout and design and an introduction to quality control techniques. The course includes flow and batch production methods as well as the use of specialized manufacturing cells.
